SuperBad- a Superannuation crunch is Imminent.

A Superannuation crunch is imminent as retirees in coming years find themselves short of an adequate nest egg“, says the Courier Mail of  Saturday, 12th November 2011, here in Brisbane.

“People face a massive Superannuation black hole with only 1 in 10 workers having enough to retire on comfortably- and the majority are more than $300,000 short.

Projections show that only 10% of people due to retire in the next 5 years, have more than the industry accepted levels of super savings ro rely on. Accepted saving  levels are at present- $430,000 for an individual and $510,000  for a couple.”

So how hard is it to save $510,000 anyway?

I find  it hard. I’m sure you find it hard, and I’m sure the tax man makes it hard for the majority to save up much at all. The fact that 90 % haven’t achieved it says something about how hard it really is.

I, like many others have seen their super fund drift downwards in value due to the Global Financial Crisis. If my Super fund was all I had to rely on when I retire, life would be pretty bleak. Thankfully, that’s not the only income stream I will have in retirement, and I’m not talking about the pension.

With the first of the baby boomer generation retiring now,  (those born between 1946 to 1964) ,so  for the next 18 years the amount of retirees will be larger than ever before. The strain on pension funds, hospital services, and every other type of aged care service will be colossal.

The government  realised their predicament too late to ensure everyone who retires has a comfortable time of it. With the mandatory retirement levy being “too little, too late” for most baby boomers, and for many of Gen Y.

So lets look at what sort of passive income we might need to make from a home business, that might save us from the onerous task of saving $530,000.

So to a little basic maths. $530,000 returning 5% equals $26,500 per year. That means if you had $530,000 saved in an investment fund that returned 5% per year, you would earn $26,500 a year from all that money. So obviously the retirement strategy of the investment industry involves the pension + a top up of $26,500 a year from Superannuation.

So in order to gain all the advantages of a $530k lump sum we  need to earn $26,500  per year. So the bar is not too high for our home business.

Breaking that down to a monthy figure means $26,500 /12 = $2,208 a month. So if $2,200 a month would equal 40 years of hard work to save $530,000 it certainly seems like an easier proposition.

When we started in our  home business, we earned about $2,200 per month within less thant 3 months. It was a lot easier than trying to save up $530,000.

The good thing for us is the work we did all those years ago still pays us a lot more than $2,200 a month because of the work we did way back then. That’s what we refer to as residual income.

So what sort of work is required to earn a residual income.

Referral work is what it is all about. We refer the business model and the amazing product to others who are 1. keen to earn some extra income 2. are concerned about their health and 3. like to help other people.

The cost of doing this home business is slight. It includes a one off  $35 joining fee, and a monthy cost of about $160 in products. The produts you can use and get amazing benefits from, and really enjoy.

As we refer others to the great business model we have, we earn a perrcentage of all the business volume we and those we introduce have created.

The business is simple. The products are great and the cost of the business remains the same no matter how much you earn.

It was the best decision we ever made to join Tahitian Noni International and I highly recommend them to you as a credible alternative to saving $530,000 in Superannuation.

Does your job stop you from making enough money?

Does ‘doing what you know’ for a job or even ‘doing what you love’ often not meet your need to survive and prosper.

I read an article in last Saturdays paper by Jessica of Murrarie from the Retail sector who was in just that predicament. I quote her words below…

” I work in a pet supplies store, not because I’m dumb or didn’t do well at school, but because I love customer service and helping people care for their pets. I work very hard, am good at my job, but no matter how much I know about pet care or how many products I sell, I still make just $17.03 an hour.

“The wage I earn is just enough, I will never be able to afford a house, a new car, or even a modern TV but that’s OK because I’m passionate about my job. If my wages are cut by 10% and penalty rates slashed, I will need to leave the retail sector, as would many other adults who would find supporting themselves on a retail wage impossible.

“If talented adult retail workers are driven out of the industry because the wages aren’t enough to survive on, the public will be left with teenage workers and the industry will suffer further. People will think, “Why not buy pet supplies online when the teenager at the store doesn’t know much more about pet care than I do?”

Jessica’s plight is a common feeling these days. 1,000 jobs were just cut from Qantas, Blue Scope steel is closing several manufacturing plants in Australia. People are finding job security to be hard to achieve. Unless you work in the mining sector, times are tough. Workers are nervous.

Everyone else in the world has low interest rates, Australia has high interest rates. Our manufacturing is under a real threat. The country is run by crazy people, the majority of whom never had a real job or ran a business

A second income stream can make life so much more manageable. A home based business can generate from a few hundred dollars a month to a few thousand, or even tens of thousands of dollars a month.

Jessica realized the fact that she could never buy a home of even a new TV with her job, she doesn’t know that there is another way to earn an income besides her job. Her job could be the means to launch her own business, and her new business could launch her new lifestyle.

Will it be easy, not really. Will it be worth it, definitely. To earn more you need to learn more, and once you learn more you can give more.

If you would live to learn how I have earned over 2.5 million dollars part time from my home business, I would be glad to show you how we did it, and more importantly how you can do it today.

We started with the thought we might make $40 a month extra. Were we surprised when we started to receive all those extra cheques.

What’s wrong with our food?

If you find the same trend as me, it seems the whole country is getting out of shape, having high blood pressure, ending up with Diabetes, and spending a fortune and a huge amount of time trying to remedy these conditions.

The video below is a classic on what has gone wrong with our food supply. Thankfully Australia is not as bad as the US, but it is trending that way.

The video goes for about 18 minutes, but it is worth a look. You will learn why things are the way the are. Greed and corruption are never far from the true answer.

Your Why

It seems “WHY” has been coming across my attention a lot lately.

Without a valid and powerful why, it seems we will be ‘blown off purpose’ when the slightest obstacle appears in front of us.

I have been refining my Why lately and it does help to put things into  perspective.

Here are some  good questions to help with your why

1. What really gets you exited?

2. What do you love about your job?

3. What do you do with your spare time

4. If you had 2 months vacation and had all the money you wanted, what would you do?

5. How do you like the people you work with?

6. What problem scares you to death, that more money would solve?

7. What do you absolutely hate about your life that more money could solve?

8. If you had the money you needed, which huge problem would go away?

9. If you had all the time you needed, what huge problem would go away?

10. Other than money, what are you looking for?

These questions help to start the thinking process. Have fun with it, and see if you can come up with a why that stirs your emotions.

What’s wrong with our Health System!

I’m pulling together a few threads I’ve come across this week.
The first was in the local Saturday paper. A small article on page 21, about a “Doctor suspended for dubious cancer cures”.
The Q’ld Civil and Administrative tribunal suspended the Doctor for 6 months over her treatment of a ‘naturopath patient’ who requested an infusion of sodium bicarbonate into her cancer.
Dr O’Sullivan conceded to the tribunal that the treatment was not supported by “scientific evidence”. But whose scientific evidence are they referring to? How about a Dr Simoncini, the Italian Oncologist who was struck off for proposing that “Cancer is a Fungus” and treatable by sodium bicarbonate infusions into the site of the cancer.
How cheap would that solution be? The powers that be couldn’t countenance that treatment; who would make any money?

The tribunal found Dr O’Sullivan had breached the Guidelines on unconventional medical practice. Seems the “guidelines” are enforceable here.
I think Unconventional medical practice has to be better than the conventional sort, in most cases.

The second item this week is in regard to a Canadian Doctor Dr Shiv Chopra, retiring from his role as a Canadian researcher in the Government regulatory authority for medicines. He states in part,….”First, the findings of scientists would be neglected, overruled or ignored. Second, corporations would use their influence and money to bend governmental policy towards maximum corporate profits.”

“This model has dominated governmental health policy for the last 40 years, and has recently taken a turn for the worse. Today, the regulators are merely corporate insiders from the very industries they are assigned to regulate.”

“Either way, the regulatory system we now have in the US and in Canada is a well greased, politically run operation where companies are NOT required to prove the safety and efficacy of their product in peer-reviewed scientific literature.”

So here we have a retiring Doctor saying the traditional system is corrupt and fundamentally flawed in Canada, and you can be sure it is the same here and in the US. Money is the motivation for all the policy decisions, not patient welfare or care. The full article can be found here.

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/05/14/dr-shiv-chopra-on-corrupt-to-the-core.aspx

The third point is an article about The fuss coming from the imaging hierarchy about a safer alternative to x-rays, breast scans and all sorts of expensive machines and tests. Its called “Thermography” and takes an infrared photo of the body non invasively. So this new non conventional method is to be fought and discredited by the powers that be. Below is a video about the technology. It is impressive.

“Of course, as all too frequently occurs, the concern and emphasis is on loss of personal income NOT on what best serves the patient or how to adjust their business model to make it a win-win for them and the patient.  When it comes to business decisions, it seems what is best for the patient nearly always is factored out of the equation.”, says Dr Mercola.

So what’s wrong with our medical system? How about greed, corruption, vested interest groups protecting their patch at the expense of good treatments. Suppressing the truth, treading on the heads of the little guys and putting their own interest first, second and third.

So how do we cope with all this. One person at a time. We all need to look out for ourselves and not follow the conventional line blindly.

Look for good nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, exercise, all the good basic things to keep you away from the medical profession in the first place.

My introduction to Tahitian Noni started me on a health crusade, and I am very glad it did.

Frequently Asked Questions about the new Defy skin care line

Defy

Defy Frequently Asked Questions

With the release of our new Defy Biotopical Age Intervention line, we wanted to answer some frequently asked questions about the products.

Defy SetQ: What is Defy?

A: Defy Biotopical Age Intervention is a revolutionary approach to looking younger that’s based on the power of bioactives.

Q: How does Defy fit in with the history of Bioactives?

A: Bioactive are compounds that have a measurable impact on the human body, such as iridoids. Some bioactives have great benefits when they are applied topically to the skin—these can be called “biotopicals.” Each Defy product uses a unique blend of biotopical ingredients to combat the visible signs of ageing in the skin.

Q: What are the issues that Defy addresses?

A: Defy addresses the visual effects of the following top ageing skin concerns:Renewing Eye Treatment

•Lines and wrinkles
•Age spots, uneven skin tone and discoloration
•Loose skin
•Dark circles under the eyes
•Dry skin
•Dull skin tone and texture

Q: How do the Defy products work?

A: Defy protects your skin and promotes a healthy and youthful appearance. It does this in two different ways:

1. Inhibits enzymes that breakdown a healthy skin matrix

2. Stimulates enzymes that build and repair healthier skin

Defy helps to restore a healthy balance to skin which results in a beautiful, younger-looking appearance.

Age Erasing Serum

Q: Is there an order in which the Defy products should be used?

A: Facial care products should be applied lightest to heaviest. Typically you would apply the Age Erasing Serum, then the Renewing Eye Treatment, then the Face Lifting Night Cream.

Q: How do the Defy products work with different skin types?

A: The Defy products were formulated for all skin types.

Q: Have these products been clinically tested on humans? What were the results?

A: The Defy products were all tested using a consumer perception questionnaire by an international panel of women ages 35 and older, and the results were fantastic. One woman in Japan even told us that she would buy the eye cream no matter how expensive it was! A U.S.-specific, 8-week human study was also conducted—every participant not only reported a significant improvement in the appearance of their skin, but also expressed a desire to continue using the products after the trial ended. Additional testing is also scheduled for the future.

Face Lifting Night Cream

Q: Are the Defy products hypoallergenic?

A: Yes—they are non-irritating.

Q: Are the Defy products natural?

A: Yes, each of the Defy Biotopical Age Intervention products contains healthy, natural biotopical ingredients, backed by real scientific results.

Q: Who should use Defy products?

A: Defy products both correct and protect your skin from the visible signs of ageing, so anyone who is interested in these benefits should use the Defy products.

Q: At what age should someone start using Defy products?

A: Defy products are designed to help skin look young and healthy, even before the skin starts showing signs of ageing. It’s really never too early to start using them. That being said, we especially recommend them to anyone over 30.

Slip, Slop, Slap – proven wrong!!

Remember the old  Slip, Slop, Slap message touted out by the Cancer Council. Well, it’s been proven wrong.

In line with most ’causes’ set up to ‘protect the public’ from the naturally occurring goodness of nature, another theory bites the dust.

The Sun, we were told (just like so many other natural things)  is bad for you; so you need to “slip on a shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat”.

The sunscreen part firstly has been called into serious question. Do you know that if you use a sunscreen you are more than 80% more likely to develop a melanoma than someone who doesn’t.

Melanomas are the most lethal form of skin cancer. Melanomas  have been increasing in incidence continuously since 1983 across all age groups in spite of everyone slipping, slopping, and slapping.

It has been shown by extensive research that the more sun exposure you get, the less chance you have of getting a melanoma. So what does that tell us?  It tells us  that vitamin D form the sun prevents melanomas, and we get vitamin D  from the sunshine that falls on our skin.

If you work indoors, you may need to get out in the Sun at lunchtime.  Show some skin to the sun, it feels good and will do you a lot of good.

If you use a sunscreen, you clog up the skins pores with gunk, usually some form of  Titanium dioxide, and prevent the formation of Vitamin D.

By covering all skin with a hat and long sleeve pants and shirt, we have no skin available to absorb sunshine. And no chance to get Vitamin D and consequently, a very high chance of getting a melanoma, or cancer or any one of a hundred different unpleasant things that Vitamin D helps us to ward off.

I’m not suggesting you overdo the sunshine, we need to get a modest amount, and the best time surprisingly is at midday. We should not burn ourselves in the sun, but a little over time is recommended. Try and get some colour over time, a light tan is a healthy sign.

So in what other areas has nature been knocked and have been proven wrong:-

How about the current fad of “grain fed beef”. Beef cattle were made to eat grass, not grain. Let’s stick with the healthy original, Grass Fed Beef.

Margarine, that yellow coloured plastic stuff, they say is healthier than butter. Eat it at your peril. Ants won’t eat it, why would you?

Artificial sweeteners.  Sugar is bad they say, these are better. Not so, sugar should be used sparingly,  or use honey, or pure maple syrup, or Stevia, but artificial sweeteners – never, no never!

GM foods. Here is a hornets nest of trouble. Science says there is nothing wrong with them. Science is a vested interest group in many cases. I avoid them always.

Then there’s Canola ….. White Flour…. Salt…….

I could go on and on but you get the idea. Common sense is needed to sort out the good from the bad. Just because the mainstream believes something or it’s on TV doesn’t make it right.

If it is natural, God given, then there is much more of a chance it is better for you.

Tahitian Noni Bio-active beverage is one of those much maligned things, natural, wild crafted and safe, but fighting against a mind set of  “how could a fruit from a plant” do all that! That’s nature for you, seems to win out every time.

Some Healthy Pancakes

These pancakes make a nice alternative to the usual 4 white poisons that normally make up a pancake. Complements of Dr Mercola’s email.

  2. Mix all remaining ingredients in another bowl and then add slowly to dry ingredients whisking until smooth. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  3. Brush bottom of a heavy skillet or pancake griddle with coconut oil and set over medium heat. Heat until a drop of water sizzles and evaporates immediately.

A chronic problem-Ulcers

I read a  “letter to the editor” recently that caught my attention.

A GP, Doctor Stephen Yelland, from the Gold Coast, noted:  “I have become greatly concerned with the major burden that chronic non-healing wounds are causing to patients and to the health care system. It is estimated that 270,000 Australians suffer from venous leg ulcers, typically suffering from their ulcers for months or years.

“This creates enormous pressure on their personal finances, on limited resources in the community and especially on hospital beds.

“Successive governments have refused to subsidize wound products and compression therapy through the Pharmaceutical Benefits scheme.

“…Given the human pain and misery as well as the huge costs to the health system. I am baffled why this issue is continually ignored and remains the elephant in the room that no one talks about”. End of Quote.

My wife and I knew one such Ulcer sufferer, lets call him Graham since that was his name, he had been suffering from a large leg ulcer for many months, he could not work, he was in a wheel chair and his life was miserable.

Every week Graham would go into the hospital where they would irrigate the wound forcefully with water, bandage it up again and send him home in misery.

From the Doctors article it seems little has changed since then.

Well, Graham decided to give Tahitian Noni Original Bio-Active beverage a try. He drank the beverage (30 ml’s twice a day) and also used it topically (on the wound itself) every day.

After about a week Graham was feeling much better. His ulcer was starting to close up. He could actually see the healing taking place.

Within 6 weeks Graham was a new man. His leg was healed over, the Bio-active Beverage applied to the wound sped up the healing process, and the Beverage taken into the body helped the immune system fight off infection.

So for about the cost of 4 bottles of Tahitian Noni, Graham had solved a massive problem that just wasn’t responding to traditional medicine. He was able to go back to work.  He got his life back literally,  from the drudgery and misery of a festering ugly wound that would not heal.

So perhaps the medical profession is looking in all the wrong places for this chronic problem that Dr Yelland referred to.

How many non-healing ulcers could be handled in the very same way as Grahams solution? My guess is plenty. And the good thing is, to try is a very easy thing.  If it doesn’t work, you get your money back, no worries.

It is such a great feeling to know about the marvelous benefits of Tahitian Noni.  You don’t get to be called the “Queen of the medicinal plants”  for nothing.
